# Keep Eskdale an Avenue > A residents' campaign about Buckinghamshire Council's proposal to cut down all > fifteen street trees on Eskdale Avenue in Chesham, Buckinghamshire, UK. The > council's public consultation closes at 11:59pm on Monday 24 August 2026 and > anyone may respond, not only people who live on the road. This site is a link hub, not an argument in itself. It exists to send people to the council's consultation and to the coverage of it. It is run by a group of Eskdale Avenue residents and has no council or agency affiliation. ## What is proposed The scheme would remove every street tree in the footway on Eskdale Avenue. Four options were assessed in the council's feasibility study; the consultation asks about one of them. Another of the four created a proper footway route while keeping most of the trees, and is not the option being consulted on. The residents' position is that the pavements do need repairing, and that this particular scheme is not a credible way to do it. ## Take action - [Respond to the consultation](https://yourvoicebucks.citizenspace.com/roads-parking/eskdale-avenue-chesham-tree-consultation/): Buckinghamshire Council's official consultation on Your Voice Bucks.
