# Keep Eskdale an Avenue

This site is a link hub, not an argument in itself. It exists to send people to
the council's consultation and to the coverage of it. It is run by a group of
Eskdale Avenue residents and has no council or agency affiliation.

## What is proposed

The scheme would remove every street tree in the footway on Eskdale Avenue. Four
options were assessed in the council's feasibility study; the consultation asks
about one of them. Another of the four created a proper footway route while
keeping most of the trees, and is not the option being consulted on.

The residents' position is that the pavements do need repairing, and that this
particular scheme is not a credible way to do it.
